Electronic Delivery of Reports and Images
Delivery of Reports and Images.
Following the patients examination the images will be reported on by a radiologist. A paper copy of the report and images (on USB) are either couriered to the referring practitioner by close of business the next working day, or an electronic copy is sent if the referring practitioner is connected to Medinexus. Country patients will have their results sent via Express Post to their referring practitioner within two days of their examination.
Patients will receive a media mailer in the post a few days after their examination; this mailer contains a USB of the patient’s radiology images and the report. This is the patient’s personal record for them to keep. Patients will need to make a follow up appointment with their referring practitioner to discuss their radiology results.
If a pathology specimen was taken in the patients procedure, a copy of the pathology report will also be included with the radiology report. Pathology SA can be contacted directly for pathology results on 8222 3000.
